BABIES ‘It’s an amazing feeling having him in my life’

-

Baby’s name: Alan Kulina. Date and place of birth: May 12 at 6.03am at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. Weight: 6lb 4.5oz. Parents: Mum Jemma Evans and dad Alvey Kulina, both 26, from Llandaff, Cardiff. Mum’s story: “I suffered from morning sickness on and off throughout the pregnancy. It got worse when I was eight months pregnant.

“I had never eaten kebab in my life and that is what I craved the most!

“I was really anxious about the birth until I was in labour Clayton Oliver then I relaxed because I knew I had to do it.

“We had a private scan at 15 weeks and found out I was having a boy. I still asked at every scan after that for them to confirm it was 100% a boy.

“I’m not sure how we came up with the name but it was an easy yes from us both – we picked Clayton within an hour of me doing the pregnancy test.

“He was due May 8. I went into labour on that day but he was born on May 12. I was in the hospital for 19 hours.

“It was strange to take him home because I had a little person who depended on me for everything.

“He’s still not sleeping much at night but sleeps great in the day!

“He’s really happy and giving us lots of smiles. At first he was the spitting image of his dad but he’s starting to look like me now.

“It is an amazing feeling having him in my life and I cannot imagine life without him.

“It’s changed a lot, I love just spending time with him.

“Getting out of the house is a nightmare now, but he comes with me everywhere and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
