YOUR PETS Star is worlds ahead at agility

-

Pet name: Star. Age: Three. Breed: Border collie cross terrier. Also know as a wild child. Owner: Heidi Morgan, Caerphilly. Owner’s story: “I rescued Star, three years ago from Many Tears Animal Rescue.

“I was nervous but excited at the same time. Butterflies in my stomach but was looking forward to the memories and adventures we would make together.

“She was a little bundle of fluff as a puppy and was nervous of certain things, but I made sure I took her to see things and places and slowly and carefully socialise her at her own speed.

“She was never too sure of horses and would always give them distance at the farm. 22, from

“She has grown into a lovely dog and is a pleasure to be around.

“She is very loving and has really helped me overcome my struggle with depression and anxiety.

“Even when I’m not having a good couple of days she is by my side bringing me some chewed up soggy toy covered in mud to play with.

“We have two older Staffordshire Bull Terriers that are the ladies of the house and Star enjoys cuddling up to them in the night.

“We also have an elderly guinea pig that Star will try to herd if given the chance.

“We train and compete in agility and she loves it. If she could do it all day she would.

“Star dislikes it when we have to stop playing agility and go home.

“Star and the Stafford ladies decided to go in the opposite direction to where we were going and decided to gatecrash a couple’s picnic, eating salmon and bagels... luckily the owners were more concerned if they would be OK.

“I think I lost count of how many times I apologised.

“The fact is she is always happy to see me whenever.

“How dogs are always happy regardless to how much money you earn or what you have or gained. They are simply just happy to see you. “Of course my dog is the best! “I guess Star enjoys the finer things in life like rolling and eating poop or dead animals on walks...

“Star for me is a super hero like Batman.

“She is my best friend and I will never be able to repay her for all the love she gives and is a true lovely amazing dog.”
