terrible and it’s making our lives miserable. It’s not just me it’s affecting, but everyone in the street.

“They haven’t got permission to do it, but they did it anyway and it will be there for six months until the appeal has finished.

“I could cry. We have been here nearly 50 years and we have had peace and lovely neighbours, so why should we have to put up with this? It’s terrible.

“It’s only 15 yards from my living room and it’s not nice to sit down and look out on to. It’s not fair, it’s really not fair on us. I feel like they’re trying to shut us up for now because we’re not important.”

Mrs Parker, whose husband died last year, has spoken to Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, whose representative will be visiting her home in the next couple of days.

Her daughter Mary Richards said: “It’s encroaching over my mother’s garden and there’s noise pollution which is going on as late as 10pm at night. My mother is so upset. They have got no consideration for their neighbours. When they started installing it, I said they needed to stop, that it needs to come down, but they said they had to get on with their jobs.

“It’s horrendous for my mother. It’s her only bit of peace in her back garden, and the other neighbours feel the same.

“It’s literally behind her fence, it’s absolutely awful.”
