Picture perfect... the best value deals for City’s armchair fans

THERE are so many ways in which the Premier League will bring excitement for Cardiff City fans in the coming season.

Being shown on Match Of The Day, Cardiff City Stadium on FIFA 19, Bluebirds players included on Fantasy Football. But having Cardiff games beamed around the world is one of the biggest bonuses that comes with promotion to the top flight.

And with more games than ever on Sky and BT Sport there are so many choices for fans... How to save money watching Cardiff City Fans who are only interested in watching Cardiff games and aren’t keen on the other benefits that come with Sky Sports can get much greater value and flexibility through Now TV rather than signing up for a full Sky Sports package.

A full Sky Sports subscription costs £48 per month with all the sport channels included; Sky Sports Premier League, Sky Sports Football, Sky Sports F1, Sky Sports Golf, Sky Sports Cricket and Sky Sports Action and Arena. That could be as much as £480 spent through the entire season. Liverpool were on Sky Sports the most last season (22 times). A Liverpool fan just getting a Now TV pass every time they played would have paid about £176.

If you consider last season the likes of Burnley and Huddersfield were only shown on Sky 18 times between them, getting a day pass could mean huge savings if your team is all you care about watching.

So if you just want to watch Cardiff’s games, you can buy a Now TV day pass for £7.99 each time the Bluebirds are shown. This gives you full access to Sky Sports’ offerings for 24 hours so you’ll often get an extra game if the Bluebirds are playing on a Super Sunday or a Saturday with two Sky matches screened.

Alternatively, if Cardiff are on TV lots of times in a given week or month, those passes are available for £12.99 or £33.99 respectively through Now TV.

We don’t recommend this for fans who like to watch all the games and enjoy sports other than football.

The different live TV packages available

Of course, Sky Sports isn’t your only place to watch the Bluebirds in the big time.

Five different packages for 2018/19 coverage were sold by the Premier League, showing 160 top flight games, with BT getting a large share once again. Amazon will show games in the 2019/20 season, but these are the packages as things stand: Package A - BT Sport 32 matches on Saturdays at 12:30 Package B, C, D& E-Sky Sports 32 matches on Saturdays at 17:30; 32 matches on Sundays at 14:00; 8 matches on Saturdays at 19:45; 32 matches on Sundays at 16:30; 24 matches on Mondays at 20:00 or Fridays at 19:30/20:00 BT Sport A BT Sport subscription costs an extra £27.99 on a 12 month contract if you currently have Sky TV.
