Cake rises to the occasion
The couple: Tomos Lloyd Norman, an aircraft engineer, 27, and Alessandra Babis, an administrator, 26.
Tomos is from Llantwit Fardre and Alessandra is from Perth , Australia.
They now live in Church Village. The venue: Tomos and Alessandra held their wedding at Hensol Castle on July 15. How they met: The pair met online via Plenty Of Fish.
The couple had their first date on October 18, 2016.
They went bowling on their first date at Superbowl UK and followed by drinks at The Yard afterwards
Of their best date Alessandra said: “It was at Castell Coch, which was our second or third date.” The proposal: The pair got engaged after a discussion at Tom’s house whilst on the couch.
The decision was made over a few days to get married.
Alessandra said: “Once we got engaged, we went to a few independent jewellers and purchased the ring from Jonathan David Jewellers. My ring is 25 years old, cluster style and 18 carat gold.” The wedding: Alessandra said: “The wedding dress was Joyce in ivory shade by Romantica by Devon, purchased from Perfection Bridal in Cardiff . “The theme for the wedding was vintage travel and a colour scheme of baby pastels. “The bridesmaids’ dresses were by Linzi Jay (dress colour was Sea Green), again purchased from Perfection Bridal in Cardiff. “We had one junior bridesmaid who was 12 years old. “The groomsmen were dressed in a charcoal suit from Slaters. “The cake was from Ponty Carlos - two tier cake with cupcakes.” The couple’s first dance as man and wife was Over and Over Again by Nathan Sykes. Alessandra was taken to the wedding in a vintage style car that was named Harmony by Ebony and Ivory. Alessandra said that the highlight of the night was cutting the cake. The honeymoon: It’s not officially booked yet but the couple are keen on Maldives for October or November 2018
