Harris pips Tomlin for a spot in City squad

-

CARDIFF City have included Kadeem Harris in their 25-man squad submitted to the Premier League after the transfer window closed.

Lee Tomlin, Anthony Pilkington, Stuart O’Keefe and Rhys Healey have all been omitted, with new signings Harry Arter and Victor Camarasa both included.

The lists will not be officially released until September, with Premier League squads still subject to change until the EFL loan window and European transfer window close at the end of August.

But Neil Warnock’s decision to leave talented stars like Tomlin and Pilkington out paves the way for both to seek loan moves to the Championship or League One.

Nottingham Forest have again been linked with a second loan move for Tomlin, according to The Sun, while Healey is believed to be interesting Grimsby Town ahead of a temporary switch.

Reports also suggest Pilkington is on the radar of several Championship clubs ahead of a proposed loan. If the quartet fail to seal a loan move away Warnock, as with other top-flight managers, could still tweak his 25-man squad and send it to the Premier League.
