What is a foundation degree? A foundation degree is a two-year higher education qualification. It is a modern, career-focused university qualification, that in most cases is the first two years of a full degree programme that you can graduate from at the end of the two years.
Many people find that their foundation degree is enough to progress into the career of their choice.
However, if you want to gain a full BA or BSc Hons degree, you can simply progress onto the relevant university for a year to top it up – so no time lost, just a choice to graduate after two or three years with the higher education qualification you want.
