Marcus Jones and Newport County loanee Touray went close to adding to the lead while Tyrrell Webbe, on his first return to Jenner Park since moving to the Old Gold in the summer, also threatened from a free-kick but his effort was wide as Barry held on.

Elsewhere Cardiff Metropolitan University left it late to secure a 2-0 victory over Llanelli Town at Stebonheath Park.

Llanelli had the better of the first half without finding the breakthrough as Carlos Indja sent a shot wide, Met’s Dylan Rees was forced into a goal-line clearance, and Joe Clarke had a shot saved by Alex Lang.

After the break it was then the visitors to the fore, with Llanelli penned into their own defensive third.

The breakthrough finally arrived as Harry Owen popped up on 79 minutes to put the Archers ahead before Eliot Evans sealed the result in injury time with a stunning freekick.

Met are sixth in the table on 15 points.
