■■Barry & Cardiff Sugarcraft club meets on the third Friday of the month, at St Mary’s Church Hall, Old Port Road, Wenvoe CF5 6AL. The next meeting is tomorrow, October 19, when there is a demonstrat­ion of sugar flowers by Tony Warren. Anyone interested in sugarcraft is welcome to pop along from 7pm for tea and a chat. ■■THE Royal Welsh Regimental Comrades Associatio­n City of Cardiff branch meets at the Sergeants’ Mess at Maindy Barracks tomorrow, October 19, and the third Friday of every month at 7.30pm for an 8pm start. Former and serving members of the Royal Welsh, Welch Regiment, South Wales Borderers, Royal Welch Fusiliers, Royal Regiment of Wales and any affiliated territoria­l and regular battalions are welcome. ■■ A Cymanfa Ganu is being held at Ebenezer Presbyteri­an Church, Highwalls Road, Dinas Powys, on Saturday, October 20, 6pm-7pm. People are invited to come along and sing some of the great old hymns of praise. It is hoped there will be two hymns in Welsh.

■■There will be a coffee morning/ Christmas bazaar on Saturday, October 20, 10am-noon, in the Canolfan, Beulah Road, Rhiwbina, Cardiff, in aid of Marie Curie Holme Tower, Penarth. Admission 50p.

■■St Philip Evans Union of Catholic Mothers is holding a coffee morning on Tuesday, October 23, 10am-noon, at St Philip Evans Church Hall, Llanedeyrn Drive, Llanedeyrn, Cardiff. Tickets £2.50 or pay at the door. Event to include tombola, cake, Christmas gifts and nearly new stalls. Everyone welcome.

■■Walking Football is the order of the day at Cambrian 3G, Clydach Vale, on Tuesdays, 7pm to 8pm. Admission is £3 – just turn up.
