■■Paws4tea is raising money for Four Paws Animal Rescue (South Wales) tomorrow, October 20, 1pm-4pm, at Llandaff North Community Centre, Hawthorn Road East, Cardiff CF14 2LR. Find out what the rescue is all about, have cuddles with dogs. Homemade cakes; tea/coffee; tombola and raffles; dog/cat treats and accessorie­s; lucky dips for dogs and kids; craft stalls. ■■A Cymanfa Ganu is being held at Ebenezer Presbyteri­an Church, Highwalls Road, Dinas Powys, tomorrow, October 20, 6pm-7pm. People are invited to come along and sing some of the great old hymns of praise. It is hoped there will be two hymns in Welsh.

■■There will be a coffee morning/ Christmas bazaar tomorrow, October 20, 10am-noon, in the Canolfan, Beulah Road, Rhiwbina, Cardiff, in aid of Marie Curie Holme Tower, Penarth. Admission 50p.

■■Llanishen Baptist Church hosts a friendship hour every second and fourth Monday of the month, with speakers on a variety of topics, all adult age groups. Starting at 7.45pm, refreshmen­ts following the meeting, £2 fee per session. The next meeting is on Monday, October 22, when Mike Club will talk about the escape of German prisoners of war from Island Farm.

■■St Philip Evans Union of Catholic Mothers is holding a coffee morning on Tuesday, October 23, 10am-noon, at St Philip Evans Church Hall, Llanedeyrn Drive, Llanedeyrn, Cardiff. Tickets £2.50 or pay at the door. Event to include tombola, cake, Christmas gifts and nearly new stalls. Everyone welcome.

■■Rumney Wine Guild meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm at the Alfred Tilly Memorial Hall on Tyn Y Sarn Road, Rumney. Different speakers each month give a talk and present a few wines for tasting. Visitors and new members will be warmly welcomed.
