WE had our roof retiled last year, but it rained when they were cementing the ridge ones and we are now left with white marks. Any ideas how to remove them

YOU will need to apply a cementremoving acid wash. It’s not difficult but you will have problems with access to the roof. Make sure the acid wash doesn’t then affect your guttering or downpipes.

COULD you advise what products to use to get rid of black mould on my ceiling boards in the bathroom? We’ve had them for four years now.

YOU need a mould killer or even bleach to remove the marks. However, you need to address the source of dampness which, being a bathroom, is bound to be condensation caused by the presence of steam. You will have to improve the ventilation, but if the walls are cold and the room small you’ll also need to insulate your external wall to really cure the problem.

WHAT should I use to paint a white plastic electric meter box to blend in with the red brick of my house?

ZINSSER B-I-N will stick to the meter box and, once primed, you can paint it any colour you want.
