■■Rumney Townswomens Guild is holding a meeting at 2pm on Monday, November 5, at Rumney Baptist Church, Tyr-Y-Sarn Road, Rumney, CF3 3BD. New members and visitors welcome. ■■On Wednesday, November 7, the Cardiff & District Chrysanthemum and Dahlia Society will be holding their annual Late Chrysanthemum Show at the Scout Hall in Heol y Bont, Rhiwbina, at 2.30pm, until 5pm. Admission is free.
■■ A remembrance service is being held on Sunday, November 11, at 10.30am in All Saints Church, Porthcawl. All townspeople, religious denominations and other organisations are invited to attend. Following the service, prior to 11am, a two-minute silence will be held at the Porthcawl War Memorial and poppy wreaths will be laid. Refreshments will be served in the church afterwards. ■■The Cyncoed Floral Club are holding a demonstration by Lucy Ellis, a national demonstrator. The demonstration is entitled ‘All I want for Christmas’ and is to be held at the Fairwater Conservative Club, Ely Road, Cardiff, on Wednesday, November 14. Doors open at 6.30pm for 7.30pm and admission is £10, including glass of wine or fruit juice, payable at the door. There will be craft stalls and a raffle. All welcome.
■■St Margaret’s Church Christmas Fayre takes place on Saturday, November 17, 10am–12.30pm, at Roath Church House, Waterloo Road, Roath, Cardiff. Christmas gifts, toys, jewellery, cakes, jams, books, bottles, bric-a-brac, DVDs, CDs, games, plants, handbags, scarves, toiletries and tombola. Tea/coffee will also be available. Entrance 30p, children free.
■■Walking Football is the order of the day at Cambrian 3G, Clydach Vale, on Tuesdays, 7pm to 8pm. Admission is £3 – just turn up.
