■■Rumney Townswomen­s Guild is holding a meeting at 2pm on Monday, November 5, at Rumney Baptist Church, Tyr-Y-Sarn Road, Rumney, CF3 3BD. New members and visitors welcome. ■■On Wednesday, November 7, the Cardiff & District Chrysanthe­mum and Dahlia Society will be holding their annual Late Chrysanthe­mum Show at the Scout Hall in Heol y Bont, Rhiwbina, at 2.30pm, until 5pm. Admission is free.

■■ A remembranc­e service is being held on Sunday, November 11, at 10.30am in All Saints Church, Porthcawl. All townspeopl­e, religious denominati­ons and other organisati­ons are invited to attend. Following the service, prior to 11am, a two-minute silence will be held at the Porthcawl War Memorial and poppy wreaths will be laid. Refreshmen­ts will be served in the church afterwards. ■■The Cyncoed Floral Club are holding a demonstrat­ion by Lucy Ellis, a national demonstrat­or. The demonstrat­ion is entitled ‘All I want for Christmas’ and is to be held at the Fairwater Conservati­ve Club, Ely Road, Cardiff, on Wednesday, November 14. Doors open at 6.30pm for 7.30pm and admission is £10, including glass of wine or fruit juice, payable at the door. There will be craft stalls and a raffle. All welcome.

■■St Margaret’s Church Christmas Fayre takes place on Saturday, November 17, 10am–12.30pm, at Roath Church House, Waterloo Road, Roath, Cardiff. Christmas gifts, toys, jewellery, cakes, jams, books, bottles, bric-a-brac, DVDs, CDs, games, plants, handbags, scarves, toiletries and tombola. Tea/coffee will also be available. Entrance 30p, children free.

■■Walking Football is the order of the day at Cambrian 3G, Clydach Vale, on Tuesdays, 7pm to 8pm. Admission is £3 – just turn up.
