EVERYONE loves a Christmas market, and this year Wales’ three biggest cities will each host their own.

So whether you want some festive food, or pick up some unique Christmas gifts for your loved ones, there’s plenty of markets to chose from.

You can expect traditional wooden huts, the smells of German sausages and mulled wine, and of course, swarms of shoppers.

Cardiff’s annual Christmas market will kick off on Thursday, November 15 until Sunday, December 23 .

Wooden huts along a number of the city’s streets will be selling a range of food and drink, festive gifts and knitwear.

Confirmed stalls include Glamorgan Brewing Company, Snowdonia Cheese Co Ltd, Chock Shop, Georgie Porgie Puddings, The Melted Cheese Company, Bang-on Brewery, Our Crafty Cwtch, BitsCycle, Ocean Pebble Art, The Crafty Badgers, Reflective Images, Cambrian Mill, and Bobbi - Handmade Children’s Clothes.

Visit the market’s website for the full line up.

Also running around the same time will be Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland, which includes ice skating, fair ground rides and more festive food.

If you fancy venturing a bit further afield, Newport’s first-ever Germanstyle Christmas market is taking place this year.

You can go attend this one from Tuesday, December 4 to Sunday, December 23.

And Swansea’s Christmas Market is also making a return to Oxford Street for 2018. You will find more than 40 traders offering a selection of arts, crafts, decorations, gifts and food from Friday, November 16 to Thursday, December 20 .
