■■St Augustine’s Parish Church’s Christmas market is being held at the church hall, Whitehall Parade, Rumney, Cardiff, on Saturday, November17, 10.30am-2.30pm. Lots of stalls, including a boozy bottle stall, £1 presents, stocking fillers, crafts, knittting, home-made cakes, children’s games and many more. Hot turkey rolls and mulled wine. No entry charge, all welcome.

■■Cards for Good Causes is again open for business at St John the Batist Church in St John Street, Cardiff. The shop will trade from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday – final closure Saturday, December 15. There are more than 200 attractive card designs. Supporting 25 local and national charities, with at least 72% of profits going to the charities. Over the past 10 years CFGC has raised more than £40m nationally for charities. Choice of bilingual and Welsh-only cards. Scout stamps for sale.

■■Eastern Healthy Hearts meet each Tuesday from 1.30pm until 3pm at Rumney Baptist Church, Tyr-y-Sarn Road, Rumney, for gentle keep-fit, social chit chat over a cup of tea and a raffle, all for £2 per week. Contact Joanne on 029 2041 1096.
