Festive treat for beer lovers

CRAFT beer lovers are in for a festive treat as a Welsh brewery has launched a boozy advent calendar.

And it’s made up exclusively of beers from small, independent Welsh breweries.

Inside the box of beers, you’ll find 24 bottles from breweries all over Wales, including Grey Trees, Bang-On, Tin Works, Purple Moose, and Baa Brewing to name a few.

And the people behind the alcoholic advent calendar have made an effort to scour every corner of Wales in search of quality beers to include.

Bridgend-based Bang-On Brewery – which specialises in bespoke and personalised beers – has collaborated with the bottle shop and specialist Welsh drinks distributor Stori Beers in Bala to provide beers from small craft brewers around Wales providing a selection of beers not readily available on the high street.

“Our mission was to locate an excellent beer range by microbreweries from North, South, East and West Wales – thus promoting small local businesses and helping to promote their beers,” said Neil Randle, founder of Bang-On.

This is the second year that the advent calendars have been available and they’re returning after a popular debut.

Neil added: “Last year’s boozy advent calendars sold out straight away and we were unable cater for inquiries from Mid and North Wales so this year we have doubled the amount made and Stori Beers have come on board to make sure that the calendars are readily available to everyone.”
