■■ THE Royal Welsh Regimental Comrades Associatio­n City of Cardiff branch meets at the Sergeants’ Mess at Maindy Barracks tomorrow, November 16, and the third Friday of every month at 7.30pm for an 8pm start. Former and serving members of the Royal Welsh, Welch Regiment, South Wales Borderers, Royal Welch Fusiliers, Royal Regiment of Wales and any affiliated territoria­l and regular battalions are welcome. ■■The next meeting of The Bridgend Branch of Glamorgan Family History Society is on Monday, November 19, at the Len Evans Centre, off Heol Persondy, Aberkenfig. Paul Frame will speak on Dr Richard Price of Tyn Ton, Llangeinor, a Friend of the American Founding Fathers. Doors open 7pm for 7.30pm start. Refreshmen­ts available. All welcome.

People affected by Parkinson’s, their family, carers and friends are welcome. Parkinson’s Café CF3 is on Tuesday, November 20, 11am-12.30pm, at St Mellons HYB, Crickhowel­l Road, St Mellons, Cardiff CF3 0EX. ■■The Gwent Archives Christmas lecture – “David Lloyd George, the truth against the world” – will be given by Professor Russell Deacon. It will take place at Gwent Archives, Steelworks Road, Ebbw Vale NP23 6AA, on Thursday, December 13, 2-3pm. Prof Deacon is a lecturer at Coleg Gwent and is also chairman of the Lloyd George Society.
