Jackman is handed four game ban

-

DRAGONS head coach Bernard Jackman has been suspended from matches for four weeks following comments he made about Welsh referee Ian Davies following a defeat to Cardiff Blues in October.

Jackman criticised Davies over his handling of a 23-15 Pro14 defeat at Rodney Parade.

The ex-Ireland hooker was banned for four weeks, two of them suspended.

Jackman will miss his side’s league games against Edinburgh, tomorrow, and Leinster, on December 1.

A Welsh Rugby Union statement read: “Dragons head coach Bernard Jackman has been found guilty of a breach of code of conduct in relation to comments regarding the refereeing of his side’s loss to Cardiff Blues on Saturday, 6 October.

“Jackman has received a fourweek stadium ban, effective immediately, from Dragons matches, of which two weeks will be suspended until the end of the season and only imposed if there is any further breach.”

The Dragons will welcome back three of their Welsh internationals for Edinburgh’s visit to Rodney Parade.

Centre Tyler Morgan goes straight back into the starting side after bagging himself a try on his international return against Tonga last weekend.

Hallam Amos returns from the Wales camp, though he didn’t feature for his country because of injury this autumn, and takes his spot on the wing.

Tight-head prop Leon Brown is poised to make his regional return from the bench.

Elsewhere, there is a welcome return for back-row star Ollie Griffiths, who has overcome an adductor injury to start at No.8.

Wing Jared Rosser has also overcome injury to feature on the wing and the final two changes to the side that lost to Connacht come in the pack where lock Rynard Landman and prop Ryan Bevington both start.

Fly-half Arwel Robson is primed to make his first appearance since September after recovering from an ankle injury to take his place on the bench.
