■■St Illtyd’s Catholic High School, in partnership with the Eden Bus, are once again holding a Community Christmas Market at the school on Thursday, November 29, from 4-6pm. Now in its sixth year, this has become a popular annual event in the school calendar. Entertainment, refreshments, Santa’s grotto and many stalls. Thanks go to Domino’s, Rumney and to CJ Construction for sponsorship. All welcome. Free entry. The school address is Newport Road, Rumney, Cardiff, CF3 1XQ.

■■This Saturday, December 1, there will be a grand nearly-new sale at St Martin’s Church, Albany Road, Roath, Cardiff. For sale will be clothes, books, accessories, bric a brac, jewellery, etc. From noon until 2pm. Refreshments available.

■■The German Lutheran Church, which meets at Conway Road Methodist Church, Romilly Crescent, Canton, is holding its annual Advent Concert this Sunday, December 2, at 3pm. It will include special singing by the students of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama as well as readings and carols for the Advent season. Afterwards refreshments will be served and admission is £5. Further information can be obtained by ringing 029 2041 8168.

■■St Faith Church, Morris Avenue, Llanishen, holds a community coffee morning every Tuesday from 10-11.30am with tea/coffee and biscuits for 50p. Enjoy a social morning, an opportunity to make new friends and maybe find some old ones. All ages welcome, accompanied children also welcome.

■■The Cardiff Breatheasy Group meets at Spectrwm in Bwlch Road, Fairwater, Cardiff, on the second Friday of each month, from 2-4pm. Primarily a social group with links to the British Lung Foundation, looking to support anyone with a lung condition. Contact Mrs Bernise Williams on 029 2091 4317.

■■Walking Football is the order of the day at Cambrian 3G Pitch, Clydach Vale on Tuesdays, from 7-8pm. Admission is £3. All welcome, just turn up.
