New serviced apartments will offer guests complimentary bottle of gin

-

GIN themed apartments are to open in the centre of Cardiff next year.

The serviced apartments will be above the new restaurant Juniper Place Cardiff, which is also due to open next year.

The apartments will be across three floors and be a mix of studio, one-bed and two-bedroom apartments with the addition of a penthouse suite overlooking Cardiff High street and the Castle.

There will be features such as key card entry and Welsh Cygnet Gin dispensers in every apartment.

Guests will receive a complimentary bottle of Cygnet Gin in their room.

The apartments are part of the conversion of the former Hashery and Seafood Shack restaurants on the capital’s High Street into Juniper Place Cardiff and Old Havana Cardiff, which has a planned opening of February.

Developer, David Bellis hopes the project will bring a new vibe and dimension to High Street.

“The building is stunning, and we are excited to bring it back to life,” he said.

“As it’s listed we’ll be looking to retain the beauty and fundamental features such as the high ceilings, ornate stone, the original fireplaces and physical features; whilst injecting some modern elements, design & paint work to help create our G ’inspired vision.”

There will be strong ties to the venues underneath with both Old Havana and the 80-seater restaurant Juniper Place linking in with the apartments to offer breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as snacks, tapas and light bites to all guests.

The team are presenting the accommodation to professionals, romantic escapes and those looking for accommodation for certain event days in the city.

Mr Bellis added: “We are so very glad to contribute to the resurgence of Cardiff High Street, and be a part of what is undoubtedly an exciting time for not only the area, but the city as a whole with its continued growth”

The apartments will be operational from next year.
