ONE of biggest weekenders in the South Wales music calendar is to return next summer bigger and better than ever.

Top tribute band festival GlastonBARRY – the popular two-day bash first launched in 2013 – has built up a huge fan following over the years, attracting thousands to take in the sights and sounds of some of the biggest rock and roll doppelgangers in the UK.

Next year’s event takes place on Saturday, July 27, and Sunday, July 28, at The Mack Events Big Top Arena at Romilly Park, Barry CF62 6RN.

There’s a Queen tribute by Flash, an Oasis tribute by Oasish, Bon Jovi-a-likes Bon Giovi, Abba copyists Abba Revival, UB40 tributes Johnny2Bad, and a Michael Jackson tribute by James Aston.

Also on the bill are U2baby, Madness/The Specials tribute 2Rude, Blondie fanciers Heart of Glass, Take That copyists Rule The World, Kings of Leon tribute band The Four Kicks, ACDC-inspired rockers Hells Bells and Bruno Mars tribute Glenn Owen.

Rolling Stones fans will be catered for in the form of The Rollin’ Clones, while The Bootleg Bee Gees, The Kinks Experience, StereoTonics, The Bryan Adams Effect, The Secret Police and – direct from London’s West End – The Valli Boys should satisfy lovers of classic rock favourites.

Early Bird discounted weekend tickets are now available at £34, with VIP tickets £60 – these also give you access to an exclusive welcome party on the Friday, along with a VIP marquee for the duration of the festival.

You can buy tickets from www. glastonbarry.com or call the box office on 07522 925 728.

Tickets are also available at The Piccolo Bar and The Beach Hut Shop, both on Barry Island.
