■■Probus is an international social club for retired professional and business people. The Llandaff club meets once each month at the Fairwater Conservative Club, for a general chat, followed by a guest speaker, a drink in the bar and lunch. But the club has more to offer. There is an overseas holiday each year, plus one in this country, and a day coach trip also in the UK. There are four coffee mornings for members and their spouses, and two formal lunches. The club is non-sectarian and non-political. Possible new members are first invited as guests. Anyone interested can come along and decide whether they like what they see. For information contact the secretary John Fryer on glen70eagles@gmail.com, or the President Colin Lewis, on collew@ sky.com
