Who’s the daddy?

-

POOR Emma is in a fragile emotional state and matters are only about to get worse.

As the man she’s been calling dad all her life lies on his deathbed, he tells her he’s always loved her as one of his own – she had no idea somebody else could be her biological father. Audrey, who’s been providing her with a shoulder to cry on, is stunned when she finds out – but even more shocked when she spots a call from Emma’s mum, who is none other than Fiona Middleton.

Unless you’re a longtime Corrie viewer, chances are you won’t

remember her, but back in the day she was played by Angela Griffin and had relationships with both Steve McDonald and his dad Jim. Liz jumps to the conclusion that Steve is Emma’s birth father, while he tries to secretly make amends for his absence all these years. But are they jumping to the wrong conclusion?

Steve seems to think so at first, but if he’s so certain that he’s not the hairdresser’s dad why is he so concerned when he spots her crying at a bus stop on her way to the funeral parlour?

Furthermore, after stopping to give her a lift, why does he feel the need to help out with the funeral expenses when Emma can’t afford a nice coffin?

One thing’s for sure, he’s going to have some major explaining to do to Tracy, who is just back from her holiday and quickly spots a wedge of cash is missing from their bank account.

Meanwhile, Sarah agrees to give Gary’s factory rebuilding plan a try, Robert lies again so that he can spend time with Vicky, and Asha’s behaviour becomes a cause for concern, but is this teenage moodiness or something deeper?
