‘DEVOTED’ GRAN DIES IN CRASH

FAMILY TRIBUTES AFTER ACCIDENT TRAGEDY

A “DEVOTED grandmothe­r” who died after a car crash in Cardiff was “dearly loved” by all who knew her, her family have said.

Oi Mee Lam, 68, died after a crash in Cowbridge Road, Cardiff, on Friday, August 16.

The crash involved a grey Nissan Micra, a black Audi A3 and a black taxi.

Ms Lam, from Llandaff, was driving a Nissan Micra and was taken to the University Hospital of Wales following the incident but died.

Paying tribute to Ms Lam, her family said: “Oi Mee Lam was a devoted mother, grandmothe­r, sister, mother-in-law, aunt and friend.

“She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

“The family of Mrs Lam wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the wonderful people who were kind enough to come to her aid.”

South Wales Police is now continuing to investigat­e following the collision, which which took place at 2.35pm on Friday, August 16.

The vehicles collided at the junction of Hillsnook Road and the A48 Cowbridge Road West, Ely, Cardiff.

Any witnesses or anyone who stopped to provide assistance, or anyone travelling in the area at the time who may have dash-cam footage of the collision is asked to contact the police.

Officers particular­ly want to speak to the driver of the black taxi that was involved in the collision.
