TOP-PRICED tickets for Wales’ clashes with Scotland and France in next year’s Six Nations have passed the £100-marker for the first time.

The cost of top-end tickets has been set at a whopping £105. That is a £10 increase from the last time the Scots and Les Bleus visited Cardiff during the Six Nations, when the most expensive tickets were £95.

Prices for both of these matches in 2020 are £40, £65, £90, £95 and £105, with the lowest category having been frozen at this price since 2017.

The price bandings to see Wales take on Italy in February remain unchanged from 2018, the last time Wales hosted these three opponents. Under-16s can enter for £20, with with general prices ranging from £30, £50, £60, £65 and £75.

Ticket prices for the stadium’s alcoholfree zone are £60 for the Italy game and £90 to see France or Scotland.

Tickets for Wales’ home fixtures are already on sale through Welsh Rugby Union member clubs, with any remaining tickets then due to go on public sale on September 27.

It comes after top-priced tickets for this year’s victories over England and Ireland during the tournament, aiding Wales on their way to a Grand Slam, were the most expensive in Welsh rugby history – costing £110. That was a £10 increase on the most expensive England ticket for the equivalent fixture in 2017, when the WRU introduced its first ever £100 ticket.

Tickets are also on sale for Wayne Pivac’s debut match as Wales coach, against a Barbarians side coached by Warren Gatland, on November 30, which is a double-header as Wales Women face the Barbarians beforehand. Tickets for this fixture, priced at £10 for under-16s, range from £10, £20, £30, £40 to £50.

Tickets for all four games, against the Barbarians and Wales’ three home Six Nations fixtures, are available now from a WRU member club, and directly to debenture holders. Any available tickets will then be put on public sale from Thursday, September 5, for the Baa-Baas game and from Friday, September 27, for the Six Nations matches.
