■■Parkinson’s Café CF3 is being held tomorrow, September 17, 11am until 12.30pm, at St Mellons HYB, Crickhowel­l Road, St Mellons, Cardiff, CF3 0EX. People affected by Parkinson’s, their family, carers and friends are welcome. Contact Roger Harrison (0771966945­8).

■■A 50p sale will be held in the All Saints Lesser Hall, Victoria Square, Penarth, on Wednesday, September 18, from 2pm until 3.30pm. Entry 50p. All proceeds to charity.

■■ On Saturday, September 21, the monthly cabaret evening is being held at the Earl Haig club (next to the main car park in Whitchurch, Cardiff) for a night out of dancing, playing a few games of bingo and a raffle. Doors open at 7.30pm and entry is £3. Tickets (£8) for the Christmas cabaret and buffet on December 14 are now on sale in the main bar at the club. Tickets must be bought before December 1 so numbers can be catered for.

■■St Margaret’s Church, Waterloo Road, Roath, Cardiff, CF23 5AD, will be opening its doors to the public and providing guided tours of the church and the Bute Mausoleum from 1.30pm—5.30pm on Saturday, September 21, and 2pm-5.30pm on Sunday, September 22. There will also be a quiz trail for children to take part in around the church and grounds. Visitors can climb to the top of the tower and enjoy the unique views of Cardiff and beyond. Also panels displaying the history of the church will be on view together with the parish registers of births, marriages and deaths, dating back to 1731. An excellent opportunit­y to trace ancestors. Visitors can also enjoy afternoon teas on both days. Free admission.

■■Cardiff Bladder Cancer Support Group is holding its next general meeting at 6.30pm on Monday, September 23, in a new location, Maggie’s Centre, Velindre Cancer Centre, Whitchurch CF14 2TQ. There will be a presentati­on by Tom Dyer from Tenovus.
