■■ Merthyr Tydfil community choir. A number of people with communitybased singing experience are looking for people to form a “sing-along” choir, which will perform in homes for the elderly, day centres and medical facilities. You don’t have to be a great singer. The music falls into four categories: Christmas songs and carols, songs from the musicals, songs from the music halls and hits of the ’50 and ’60s. Each performed at relevant times of the year. There will be regular practice sessions once a week to learn songs, and keep up the standards. Phone 07708 931752 for more information. Ask for Gwyn.
