Baggies hit back as woe continues for Terriers

WEST Brom twice came from behind to beat bottom side Huddersfie­ld 4-2 at The Hawthorns.

Two goals in five second-half minutes won it for West Brom, who moved up to fourth place in the table after stretching their unbeaten league start to eight games.

Lewis O’Brien gave the Terriers a 16th-minute lead which was cancelled out by Matt Phillips three minutes later, while Karlan Grant restored their advantage before the interval.

Darrell Furlong headed home to make it 2-2 after 70 minutes.

His mazy solo run teed up Phillips to complete his brace and edge the hosts in front before Semi Ajayi grabbed a fourth.

Leeds’ Achilles heel hurt them once more as the leaders were held 1-1 at home by Derby.

Chey Dunkley grabbed a brace as Wigan beat Charlton 2-0, while Garry Monk remains unbeaten as Sheffield Wednesday manager, Atdhe Nuhiu levelling in injury time after Tom Cairney opened the scoring for Fulham in a 1-1 draw in South Yorkshire.

At the foot of the table, Stoke picked up just their second point of the season with a 0-0 draw at Brentford, while Bristol City and Swansea also finished goalless at Ashton Gate – the visitors having Jake Bidwell sent off late on.
