DRESSED to impress

- WHICH CELEBRITIES EARNED STYLE POINTS THIS WEEK?

Phoebe Waller-Bridge, left, and Jodie Comer IT WAS a very good night for the Brits at the Emmy awards on Sunday. It also helped if you had a connection to Killing Eve.

Its writer, Phoebe Waller-Bridge may not have taken home any gongs for that BBC show, but she did clean up for her other hit series Fleabag. The 34-year-old picked up Outstanding Comedy Writer, Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and did it all in one of the night’s most beautiful gowns, a stunning embellished number by Monique Lhuillier.

Killing Eve leading lady, Jodie Comer, beat Hollywood veterans like Robin Wright and Viola Davis, not to mention her own co-star, Sandra Oh, to take home the award for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series.

And if further proof were needed that the Scouse actress has ‘arrived’ in Hollywood, she did it wearing Tom Ford, no less. The mark of a bona fide star. The sleek and simple Grecian-style gown was cool and classy, just like Jodie.

Sandra, who plays the show’s eponymous Eve, also went for a simple gown, choosing a blush pink number by Zac Posen, which showed off her slim physique and worked perfectly with her skin tone.

Rounding out our Killing Eve crew at the Emmys was Fiona Shaw, 61, in an emerald gown by Emilia Wickstead proving that, when it comes to style, the spies have it. It’s not all about high-octane glam, Dame Helen looks cool off the red carpet too. Steal her style in this M&S Collection zipped detail biker jacket £45 and this pink Boden sweater, was £80, now £32
