A BEAUTIFUL Welsh chapel conversion has become Rightmove’s most-viewed property in September.

The property in Ynysybwl, near Pontypridd, is on sale for £425,000 with estate agent Hoskins Johnson.

Complete with stained-glass windows, its exterior looks like a typical Gothicinfluenced stone and brick-built Welsh chapel.

Inside, its three floors and five bedrooms have been converted from pews and pulpit to pretty and perfect interiors.

Each floor has a defined purpose to create an ideal family home. In its garden, it even has a hot tub and slide.

According to the website coflein.gov.uk, the property dates back to 1887 as the English Congregational Chapel and is thought to have closed in 1960 and been used for storage by company Roath Furnishing.

In 1998 it was converted into a residential home and is now called Yr Hen Capel.

Ian Rees, partner at Hoskins Johnson, said Yr Hen Capel was an incredible conversion that “oozes style and luxury”.

He said: “Everyone loves to look inside properties on the internet and something as luxurious and spacious as Yr Hen Capel just allows people to put themselves inside this wonderful home.”

Rightmove’s property expert Miles Shipside added: “This property is one of the most magnificent renovated homes I’ve seen in recent years.

“The beautiful stained-glass windows immediately demand your attention and it’s clear to see that the owners had bags of imagination when they created this home.

“It’s oozing with charm, but also has a real sense of fun about it.”
