■■ Parkinson’s Cafe CF3 is on Tuesday, October 15, 11am-12.30pm, at St Mellons HYB, Crickhowel­l Road, St Mellons, Cardiff, CF3 0EX. People affected by Parkinson’s, their family, carers and friends are welcome. Join this local group for friendship, support, informatio­n sharing, coffee, tea, cake or a biscuit, and a laugh. ■■On Saturday, October 19 there will be a Christmas sale of cakes, books, handmade greeting cards, crafts and gifts in the Canolfan, Beulah Road, Rhiwbina, Cardiff. The event runs from 10am–12 noon and is being held in aid of the Marie Curie Hospice at Holme Tower, Penarth. Admission is 50p.

■■Penarth Computer Club‘s next twice-monthly meeting is being held at All Saints Lesser Hall, Penarth, 7.30pm, October 24. The topic is Security Night. The club offers advice and reassuranc­e to retired (and younger) members on a range of devices. Visitors always welcome.

■■Tickets are available to buy for the Christmas cabaret and buffet at the Earl Haig club in Whitchurch. Tickets cost £8. The party is on Saturday, December 14, but tickets must be bought before December 1. No entry on the night without a ticket.

■■Sequence dancing takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, 7.15pm until 10pm, at Fairwater Social Centre, Finchley Road, Fairwater. £3 each with tea and coffee at 8.30pm till 9pm. Singles or couples, all will be welcomed.

■■Llanishen Healthy Hearts is a heart support group – establishe­d for 20 years and BHF registered. The group meets every Friday at Llanishen Leisure Centre, 1pm-3pm, with a guest speaker and gentle exercise with a qualified instructor.
