■■ Today, October 24, at 7.30pm (doors open 7pm) in St Mary’s Church, Whitchurch, Cardiff, there will be a concert “All things bright and beautiful”, featuring contempora­ry, classical and modern music performed by the South Wales Clarinet Choir and Treble C. Tickets available at the door priced £5. The programme consists of music by Mozart, Handel, Paul Simon (Bridge Over Troubled Water), Lennon and McCartney (Blackbird), John Hughes (Calon Lân), Shostakovi­ch etc. Refreshmen­ts available.

■■This month’s fundraisin­g coffee morning in St Paul’s Community Hall, Paget Street, Grangetown, Cardiff, will be on Saturday, October 26, starting at 10.30am. It is in aid of the Shine a Light Walk for Cancer Research. A variety of cakes will be on sale as well as coffee, tea and soft drinks. Thanking all in the past who have supported these mornings. Free entry, all welcome.

■■An art and craft fair (with a hint of Christmas) is to be held on Saturday, October 26, at Roath Church House, Waterloo Road,Roath CF23 5AD, from 2pm to 4pm. Original paintings, ceramics, jewellery and much more will be available for a unique present. Tea and cakes available. Entry is free.

■■A half-term craft fair takes place at the Norwegian Church arts centre in Cardif Bay, from Tuesday, October 29 until Sunday, November 3. A chance to browse and buy hand-crafted products made in Wales. A collaborat­ion of artists, artisans, crafters and photograph­ers. Craft activities will be available for children priced from £3 to £6.

■■Cardiff Ladies Luncheon Club is a ladies’ social club which usually meets on the third Monday of each month at the Hilton Hotel, Cardiff, for lunch, and to listen to guest speakers on a wide variety of subjects. An opportunit­y to meet and greet friends and to make new friendship­s. New members welcome.
