MARKS and Spencer is recruiting for Christmas at its store in Cardiff.

The high street chain is on the lookout for 80 seasonal colleagues to work in its Cardiff and Swansea branches ready for the festive season.

A variety of Christmas temp roles are available in the stores across clothing, home and food departments with applications now open.

The variety of jobs includes customer assistants on the salesfloor and in cafes.

Sacha Berendji, from Marks & Spencer, said: “The run up to Christmas is one of the busiest times of year and we want to make shopping with us as enjoyable and easy as possible.

“This means we need more great colleagues on hand to offer a brilliant service and help customers get everything they need, from the big gifts right down to the trimmings.

“We have a fantastic team in Cardiff and Swansea and, every year, many of the additional colleagues we recruit stay with us, so we very much look forward to welcoming applicants.”

All new colleagues will have induction training.

Rates of pay are competitive, and colleagues enjoy a 20% discount on M&S products from their first day.

Jobs available include salesfloor customer assistant, beauty customer assistant and bakery customer assistant, all of which are paid between £8.50 and £10.60 per hour dependant on experience.

All applicants will have to fill out an online assessment form.
