■■ Writer, poet, musician and visual artist Gerhard Kress will be the guest of Cultural Chapter at Tonypandy Library on Tuesday, November 19, 2pm to 4pm. ■■Conway 50+ welcomes Wyn Calvin to launch the group’s ‘Soup Book’ with the most asked for recipes at 50+ lunchtimes. It takes place on Wednesday, November 20, 10.30am. After the launch there is a talk by Michelle from Cardiff council about the Independen­t Living Service – how to empower our independen­ce for as long as we can. ■■Castle Court Craft and Food Market in Caerphilly is having a Twilight Market on Friday, November 22 (5pm-8pm). There will also be a Christmas Market on Saturday, December 7, from 10am to 5pm, and Sunday, December 8 (10am-4pm).
