The truth will out...

-

THE clues have been stacking up in this thriller, with plenty of conspiracy theories about who killed Andrew Earlham. Smarmy surgeon Earlham (Ioan Gruffudd) was revealed as a serial rapist and then killed off by an unknown assailant, dumped with his throat slashed in the marshes.

Of course, no one really cares that he’s dead, but now we’ve come this far, we definitely need to find out whodunnit.

Plenty of people could have wanted him gone, but his recent victim Laura Nielson (Joanne Froggatt) is the prime suspect.

It’s not looking good for Laura, with a pile of evidence now mounting up against her, not to mention one copper who appears to be trying to frame her and another one who just doesn’t like the look of her.

Nicotine gum-chewing bad cop DI Karen Renton (Katherine Kelly) is determined to see Laura banged up for murder, but could she be softening?

Meanwhile, in a Line of Duty-style twist, DS Rory Maxwell (Danny Webb) was revealed as a bent copper, tampering with evidence to protect his son.

In other news, Laura’s sister Katy and brother-in-law

Liam have gone all Sherlock and Watson, tracking down clues to crack the crime.

They’ve managed to get to Oliver, but after a shameful car chase that never even left the car park will they ever find him again?

Producers have teased that Laura takes drastic measures to hold Oliver to account, and the truth of what happened on the morning Earlham died will be revealed.

Tune in for what promises to be a nail-biting finale.
