Appeal after burglars steal equipment from nursery

-

STAFF at a Cardiff nursery school ransacked by burglars accused them of “stealing from young children”.

Police are hunting the criminals who took iPads, a projector and laminate flooring during the break in at Llanedeyrn Primary school.

The school shared pictures of the damage to childrens’ work and the mess they had left behind.

Thanking the police for their support, the school said said: “We found our nursery like this, no ipads, projector, speakers. Wrecked the place.

“They didn’t steal from a school, they stole from young children. I hope they find the heartless people who did this.”

Police in Cardiff said they are investigating after the burglary was reported on Wednesday.

A spokeswoman said: “A number of iPads, a projector and some laminate flooring were stolen from the nursery building.

“The break-in is believed to have happened the same time as a burglary at the main school building last week but has only just been discovered.”

Last week, several projectors were taken from the main primary school building during a break in.

The police spokeswoman added that scenes of crime officers have examined the scene and enquiries are on-going to identify those responsible.

“This is an upsetting incident for the staff and pupils and would appeal for anyone with information to contact police.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting occurance number *146756.
