Surprisingly cheap stalls up for grabs at market Cost of stalls

- THOMAS DEACON Reporter thomas.deacon@walesonline.co.uk This is the full cost breakdown for each stall:

YOU can rent out a stall in Cardiff Market for less than £36 a week.

A number of stalls are up for grabs in the popular spot – and it’s more affordable than you might think.

Three stalls are currently listed in the historic market in the centre of the city.

Combined, they have a total floor area of just over 144 sq ft and an annual total cost of £5,802.27.

The previous tenant was The Tool Shed, which left at the start of March.

The stalls are currently being marketed so Cardiff council can gauge interest but the lease will not be completed until the end of lockdown.

A standard lease until April 2022, from a date to be agreed, is offered.

The rent will be fixed until April 2022, when a review will take place and the amount may change.

Vendors will have to pay for electricity on top of the amount, but are exempt from business rates as the stalls are too small to qualify.

The stalls are currently a “basic shell”
