WHERE is Johnny and what is his real relationship to newcomer Scott?
The Rover Return’s new tenant recently arrived on the Cobbles, with it hinted he was linked to Carla Connor – after he suggested he knew her mother.
Johnny Connor, Carla’s dad, has a past with him and it’s clear something happened between them.
Not only was Johnny unnerved to see Scott in Weatherfield, but he made a sharp exit away from the Street and has avoided any meeting with Scott.
Scott also seems very protective towards Carla, leaving some viewers wondering how he is going to be connected to her.
This week Jenny returns alone from France, where Johnny has decided to stay, and is stunned to find out the news about Oliver; he has an incurable form of mitochondrial disease.
The little boy’s parents are also struggling to deal with the terrible news, and a distraught Leanne breaks down as she tells Steve that Oliver is all that she has ever wanted and that when he dies she will have nothing.
Simon, who was adopted by
Leanne when she was married to Peter, overhears and is heartbroken.
He heads to school for his exam and makes a big decision.
At the end of the week, Simon tells Peter what he overheard Leanne saying. Leanne tries to apologise but Simon is insistent on living with his dad.
Elsewhere, Toyah and Imran are told they have a good chance of being accepted as foster parents, but because of Oliver they decide to put their plans on hold.
Alina tells Seb that she’s not happy sneaking about behind Emma’s back and would appreciate it if he didn’t ask her out again. About time. Poor Emma.
Fiz and Tyrone are terrified at the thought they are turning into Jack and Vera, so they plan a romantic date night. And Evelyn is irritated that Roy and Arthur have a shared love of steam trains.
