DCEASED: DEAD PLANET #1

DC’S seemingly unstoppable DCeased series is back. This is the fifth instalment of the series, set on an alternative Earth, where most of the planet’s inhabitants – including some of our favourite superheroes - have been infected with a zombie-like virus.

Set five years after the original mini-series, Dead Planet sees Damian Wayne, Jon Kent, and Cassie Sandsmark – the Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman of Earth 2 – return to an Earth now overrun with the anti-living in search of Cyborg.

Written by Tom Taylor, with art by Trevor Hairsine, DCeased: Dead Planet #1 is out now priced £5.40

ANOTHER TRON?

IT’S been 10 years since the rather disappointing

Tron: Legacy hit cinemas.

Its poor performance, right off the back of another Disney flop, Tomorrowland, saw plans for a sequel – Tron: Ascension starring Jared Leto (pictured) – shelved.

But now rumours are now circulating that the Leto-led Tron movie is still in the works – and the hunt is on for a director. Whether it will be Ascension, or a reboot of the series is still unclear.

THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN

AMAZON’S wonderfully sweary show, The Boys returns for a second season this September.

The new series finds our anti-heroes on the run from both the Supes, and the law.

A trailer promises that it will be as big and bloody as the first, with images of Supes in front of hero propaganda, and us mere mortals meeting some very gruesome ends.

■ The Boys 2 lands on Amazon Prime Video on September 4.
