EVERYTHING we know so far about the new rules:

■■When are they coming in?

The rules allowing four households forming a bubble will come in from Saturday, August 22.

■■How many households can I join with?

You are able to join with three other households to form a single one.

■■Can I change from household I am currently joined with when the new rules come in?

No. A Welsh Government spokesman told WalesOnline the new rules will will not include allowing for the dissolution of existing extended households and the reformation of a new extended household.”

■■If my household joins with three other households, can each of those households join with two additional households outside my person bubble? This may seem confusing but a social bubble of four houses can only include those four households.

For example, you form a four household bubble with your mate Clive, your mum and your auntie’s households. However, your mum can not form her own bubble with you, your auntie, and her best friend Barbara. According to the Welsh Government the households can come together “as part of a single exclusive extended household”. ■■Can I meet people outside my bubble in my house providing I social distance?

No. The First Minister had suggested at the end of July he may bring in rules around meeting indoors at a distance but these have been shelved because of the risks of meeting indoors. A similar lifting of rules is understood to have been responsible for a spike of cases in the north of England. ■■When will we get more details?

The Welsh Government has said that they will “publish revised guidance on the four household extended guidance next week”. ■■Why can you meet your family from outside your bubble in a pub and not in a house?

The Welsh Government’s spokesman has suggested that levels of compliance may be higher in pubs than in homes. He said: “You can only arrange to meet people from your extended household indoors in a pub or restaurant. A pub has a great level of responsibility to keep its custodians safe by overseeing social distancing and doing everything they can to maintain excellent hygiene standards. All the measures in place which limit the number of people we meet indoors, is because it poses a greater risk of spreading the virus.”
