WHEN The Walking Dead eventually ends in 2022 it will feel like a mercy killing – you really can have too much of a good thing.

Jaded as many are with the show, it’s impossible to ignore how ground-breaking it has been. So now feels like the perfect time for this Deluxe version of the original comic, taking the story back to its roots 17 years ago.

Boasting an array of cover variants, each issue also includes ‘The Cutting Room Floor’, with notes on abandoned storylines from Robert Kirkman himself.

Unlikely to be released as a collection any time soon, these single issues will be the only way to experience this.

Walking Dead: Deluxe #1 is out now priced £3.60.
