How they rated
ALEX SMITHIES
Not kept massively busy, but solid as ever when called upon. Little to really take issue with.
JORDI OSEI-TUTU
Looked a real threat going forward, but some of his decision-making was a little naive at times. Also guilty of occasionally leaving too much space in behind. Nevertheless, grew into the game well. Unlucky to be subbed off with an injury.
CURTIS NELSON
On the rare occasion that Morrison did falter, he stepped up brilliantly. Filip Benkovic will have to produce something really special if he’s to break up this partnership.
Looked to be set for a decent afternoon before suffering yet more injury pain. With Joe Bennett also sidelined, you would hope it’s not serious.
MARLON PACK
One of his better performances in a City shirt. Mopped up brilliantly in midfield and worked his socks off all game. Contributed to a superb defensive performance.
LEANDRO BACUNA
Started well, contributing nicely alongside Pack inside Cardiff’s engine room. Needed a little bit of time to find his feet at left-back after Cunningham’s injury, but on the whole coped quite well.
SHEYI OJO
Produced a stunning goal to hand his team the points and linked up nicely with Osei-Tutu on the right. Only criticism is that his final ball was found wanting at times. Subbed.
JOE RALLS
Struggled to find his feet in the more advanced role in the absence of Lee Tomlin, but improved following the enforced reshuffle on the back of Greg Cunningham’s injury.
KIEFFER MOORE
At the heart of the goal. Produced a superb piece of skill in the build-up, and typically won absolutely everything in the air all game.
Felt like he was everywhere all afternoon. Rock solid as ever at the back, and a threat in the box at the other end.
Harry Wilson (on for Cunningham 29) 7 – A solid debut, but we all know there’s more in his locker.
Sol Bamba (on for Osei-Tutu 77) 7 – Seemed to enjoy being back. Produced a superb intervention to deny Jayden Stockley late on.
Will Vaulks (on for Ojo 79) 6 – Didn’t have enough time to really impress.
