We can help you with diabetes

-

THIS year has been a very difficult one for everyone and especially so for people living with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, some of whom have not been having their routine health checks.

As a result of the pandemic, some people have not been able to obtain the support and information they need, especially those who have been recently diagnosed.

In addition, we know that some people have not felt comfortable visiting the GP surgery.

Not only can this be worrying for people, but they feel that they do not have enough information to manage their diabetes themselves.

In this situation, we would like your readers to know that we can help them to learn more about their diabetes and how to look after themselves with our range of free booklets.

Probably the most useful is ‘Diabetes – Everyday Eating’, which contains 28 days of menus of everyday, affordable meals to help people manage their diabetes. ‘Understanding Your Diabetes’ gives general information about Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and ‘Type 2 Diabetes – Management and Medication’ is especially useful for people with Type 2 diabetes. We have a range of other free booklets available and these are published in our publication list’.

Readers can obtain copies of booklets and our publication list by contacting InDependent Diabetes Trust (IDDT) – telephone 01604 622837 or email jenny@iddtinternational.org
