WEBCHAT Wales to get extra-long bank holiday for Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

-

Oh stop moaning everyone... the kids and family, neighbours and friends will probably have a street party. Time to smile and have community activities and celebration regardless of your view on royalty or an extra day off. Let’s look on the bright side as I am fed up of doom and gloom.

Awesome news. For such a great woman. And the last time I looked the Queen is the Queen of the United Kingdom. Wales is still part of the United Kingdom so therefore is still your Queen too. If you don’t want to have the day off then work. Simples really. And calling for St David’s Day off. I’m down for that. Oh and I’ll take St George’s Day off too.

Great lady and servant to the UK and the Commonwealth. God save the Queen!

I don’t know how they can say this, it’s not until 2022, she’s an old lady she might not survive, we could have a king by then. I hope she’s still going but you never know.

Claire Downing

It will be great for the kids who have never had a street party. Hope there is one in every street, we all need something to look forward to.

Jean Bedford

I do feel like this is due to the growth of YesCymru. Oh let’s give everyone four days off for the Queen and maybe they’ll remember their love for the British flag?

Alun Gowman

She’s 95 – hopefully she’ll still be around in two years!

Means nothing if you are a key worker and work bank holidays. Graham Wright

St David’s Day bank holiday would be more suitable for Wales. Gwyn Powis
