WEBCHAT Education Minister Kirsty Williams on the risk of schools closing again this year
How about getting a minister with a background in education and not in American studies. They need to have an understanding of how schools and classrooms tick to be able to give advice!

I’m glad she is stepping down and hope someone young with ambition, strong minded and initiative gets the job and not someone who will nod and say yes sir.

They had a great opportunity on feb half term to vaccinate all school staff to help with this and they failed miserably! They now have 2 weeks off for easter soon so why the hell cant they do it??? Makes me mad! Children need education and routine! Its affecting their mental health!

Oh please, my 11 year old granddaughter only started comp last year, hardly spent any time there + is due to go back after Easter, it breaks my heart to see her at home + not having any contact with her friends. I’m desperate for her to go back t see friends from her primary school + to make new friends, she looked so lovely in her new school uniform, now hanging up in her wardrobe. Krystyna Thompson
They better sort something out and quickly because isolation is ridiculous and far too disruptive to kids education. They can’t be in school then sent home on repeat endlessly. I’ve deferred my youngest starting nursery, not having her settle in only to be sent home and confused again. Michelle Elizabeth McWilliams
Cardiff council has recalled all of its home learning devices so if schools close again then those children who dont have internet at home will be even more disadvantaged.

Yes this virus is always going to be with us it ain’t going to disappear now, it will be like the flu comes back around in the winter months. So unfortunately we got to live with it & get back to normal life eventually. We can’t keep closing down businesses, hospitality, leisure, barbers & schools etc.
