WEBCHAT Hundreds of gym owners and members march on the Senedd to protest

-

Not many observing the basic social distancing and face mask rules. Totally irresponsible. Tony Edwards

Totally agree for fitness and wellbeing. Just don’t get it. At least there’s no violence. Just proves you can protest peacefully. Stephen Hayes

I wonder if they feel the same about food banks, child poverty, cuts to public service, NHS pay rises.

Paul Griffiths

Brilliant. About time people took a stand. I would like to think if the Senedd tried to close them again for another waste of time lockdown they would stand their ground and stay open. Plenty of people would support them. Liane Elms

Well done about time everyone took a stand. This is now about control and power and not about keeping us safe.

Linda Clarke

Be good exercise for them all that walking. Maybe they could do a few press ups and jog home. Dave Morgan

All our marvellous education system has taught people is how to be selfish and self opinionated . No thought for the very people who have to be in the middle of this faceless killer every day and night to help you miserable ungrateful lot of it’s my right brigade.

Pat Thomas

Only a few more weeks to go before they can open. More than can be said for those of us who work in events. Just need a little more patience then we can all look forward to a little normality. Aled Wyn Phillips

I’m confused ~ I thought they’d brought the date forward. They bring it forward and they march. I understand their frustration but all businesses have suffered, why are they any different? Strengthen your argument and at least follow the guideline set with masks etc.

Gemma Louise Lang

A bit contradictory really with a sign saying “when did our health become non essential”. All these measures have been put in place for our health, for goodness sake. Claire Fellows
