WEBCHAT Fighting and arguments on crammed train after Wales football international in Cardiff

-

Our public transport in Wales hasn’t been fit for purpose since the 80s. It’s changed hands umpteen times and it still suffers from chronic under-investment. Craig Rhys Barlow

And they are trying to get people to use more public transport. No chance thanks, stick to cars. David Coleman

No masks... here comes lockdown again.

Lorraine Davies

Travelled for a Wales game on the train when I was 18, luckily got on in Ferryside (second stop) on a two-carriage packed train to Cardiff. Did the same two weeks ago, aged 54 - exactly the same situation, except in a pandemic! Nothing’s changed, disgrace. Ceri Paddy Lilly

Are these trains safe with so many people on them? Who monitors how many?

Julie Harris

I thought you had to wear masks on public transport, especially with it being that packed.

Tracy Allison Gilbert

Same on rugby days. The operators know that these games are on so why not put extra rolling stock on? TfW now runs this so why don’t they get their act together and sort it?

Aled Roberts

It’s just like the morning commute in London.

Chris Jones

There’s not enough rolling stock, it’s been this way for decades. Matthew Smiless

It was exactly like this on a train to Manchester recently. It was Friday afternoon rush hour and

TfW had chosen to only put two carriages on.

Michelle Williams

Service is shambolic. My son had to walk from Ystrad to Bargoed as the train terminated in Ystrad, only to watch the train then carry on to Rhymney empty.

Jillian Morgan

Only when the government are made to travel on these crammed trains everyday will something be done. So the 12th of never is the target date for change.
