Motorcyclist, 21, died in crash on way to dream job
A “KIND and loving” 21-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash while riding to what his family described as his “dream job at Aston Martin”.
Jordan Talbot was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision on the A4226 in Barry on Tuesday.
The three-vehicle crash happened near Cardiff Airport.
The 21-year-old from Radyr in Cardiff was treated by emergency services at the scene but, sadly, died as a result of his injuries.
South Wales Police officers were at the scene on the A4226 in Barry for most of the day after the road was closed in both directions from the B4226 roundabout to the Port Road roundabout.
The crash happened at about 5.20am and involved a white Vauxhall Astra, a blue Honda motorcycle and a heavy goods vehicle.
His grieving family yesterday paid tribute to Mr Talbot, describing him as a “bright, intelligent and happy young man”.
They said: “We are all completely devastated with the sudden loss of Jordan.
“He was such a bright, intelligent and happy young man who had his whole future ahead of him.
“He was simply riding his motorcycle to work to do his dream job at Aston Martin when the collision occurred.
“He had worked so hard to get this job and he knew how proud we all were of him. He was such a kind, loving person and had a wicked sense of humour, always laughing or cracking jokes around the house.
“Everybody who knew him did not have a bad word to say.
“In his short life he had touched so many people and left behind so many happy memories that we will forever cherish.
“As a family we would like to thank everybody for their kind words and support but would particularly like to thank all the emergency services at the scene who tried to help Jordan.”
South Wales Police say they are continuing to appeal for witnesses.
