A tasty list of stalls at Barry Food Festival

SUMMER is the time for good weather, good company and of course good food. And this Saturday and Sunday you will be able to enjoy great food at Barry Island.

The Barry Island Food and Drink Festival is back and there are some great local traders at the event.

Located on Barry Island Promenade on Friars Road, the festival is open from 11am to 7pm on both days.

There will also be live music and Craftfolk stalls at the festival.

The stalls at Barry:

■■ The Artisan Cook Pizza: Wood fire-cooked pizza that brings the taste of Italy straight to Wales;

■■ The Bearded Taco: This Welsh Street Food award 2022 winner will be at Barry Island serving up their fresh tacos with internatio­nal flavours;

■■ Betti Churros: Head to Betti Churros for dessert;

■■ Box Burger: Nothing can beat a great burger;

■■ Big Fresh Catering: Providing innovative food services to schools, businesses, and events this Barry-based business will be at the food festival;

■■ Cardiff Dough and Co: Selling premium brioche doughnuts Cardiff Dough and Co will be available;

■■ Craft Republic: Head to the Craft Republic stall for craft beer, wines, and cocktails;

■■ Cegin The Kitchen: Selling Indian street food is Cegin The Kitchen;

■■ Mr Croquewich: Specialisi­ng in cheesy dishes you can get your cheese fix at the festival from Mr Croquewich;

■■ Doughnutte­rie: There is plenty of choice for doughnuts with the wide range Doughnutte­rie have on offer;

■■ Eleri Welsh Cakes: You can’t have a Welsh food festival without a Welsh cakes stall;

■■ Hogi Hogi Hogi: Serving up hog roast;

■■ Hensol Gin Distillery: If gin is your drink of choice head to the Hensol Gin Distillery stall for some great local gin;

■■ Joanna Studt: Selling street food will be Joanna Studt;

■■ Ringo’s Dirty Diner: This brother and sister duo are selling burgers, fries, and hotdogs using Welsh produce;

■■ The Gin Tin: Another to head for to enjoy a gin is The Gin Tin;

■■ Tomos & Lilford Brewery: To grab award-winning beers check out Tomos & Lilford Brewery;

■■ The Cardiff Distillery: Another stall to grab a drink at is the Cardiff Distillery;

■■ Zios Gelato: For homemade gelato, as well as hot crepes, waffles, milkshakes, and smoothies;

■■ Barry Island Coffee Company: If you fancy a hot drink or a choice of coffee from around the world and Wales the Barry Island Coffee Company will be at the festival.
