New aviation management degree at Cardiff Met

CARDIFF Metropolit­an University is partnering with a US university and an airport to deliver a new aviation management degree.

The BA (Hons) aviation management programme is being delivered alongside Cardiff Airport and Florida-based Embry-Riddle Aeronautic­al University.

Students on the full-time threeyear course will study latest aviation management theories, systems and practices to ensure meaningful employment in the industry.

The course, which is currently accepting applicatio­ns via UCAS, will also provide understand­ing of all aspects of aviation law, aviation strategic management, aerospace safety, airline management and employment issues relating to the industry.

Cardiff Met students will benefit from a close working relationsh­ip with staff at Cardiff Airport.

Work experience modules will enable students to take part in focused work placements in a variety of areas and there will also be opportunit­ies to create bespoke research projects.

Embry-Riddle teaches over 22,000 students online at more than 110 campuses – offering Cardiff Met students the opportunit­y to engage and collaborat­e with students across the world.

The degree will have focus on employabil­ity, with networking opportunit­ies existing with both Cardiff Airport and Embry-Riddle.
