Branch out with your brunch

-

LOOKING to shake-up your brunch options? Alan Turner and Terence Williamson are known for their fabulous mid-morning meals at their Sunday Cafe in London’s Islington. Now they are sharing their recipes in Brunch The Sunday Way.

The pair offer a collection of more than 70 favourites from French toast to specials like courgette fritters with halloumi and dukkah and mint yoghurt.

They say their goal is to encourage food lovers to create a brunch experience at home. From quick and easy breakfast staples to fabulous feasts, the £14.99 hardback, published by Frances Lincoln, takes you all the way from poaching an egg, flipping pancakes and curing salt beef all with spectacularly instagrammable results.

The brunch champions say: “Why write a book solely about brunch? Apart from the fact that it is – literally – our bread and butter, it also celebrates what is arguably the most joyous meal of the day.

“Brunch is an iconoclastic meal: it follows no rules and is open to any number of interpretations. It can be enjoyed any time of day; it can be entirely sweet or savoury, or both.”
